The new gTLDs are here!

The face of the Internet is changing with the introduction of new generic extensions (also called gTLDs or generic top level domains). Instead of having a domain name with a .com extension and the part coming before the .com describing the purpose of the site, you can now register domains with extensions that are part of the meaning of the site.

Why are new gTLDs coming out?
Since the explosion of registering domain names in 1996, being able to find a short, descriptive domain name within a gTLD extension has grown increasingly difficult. There are just so mange names registered now, finding the right domain with a .com, .net or .org extension is difficult. The new extensions become part of the description of your domain.
The New TLDs
New TLDs are usually being released each Wednesday, and we do send an email announcement* to Register4Less.com clients when they are released. At the time of this writing, the new extensions are:
